Product Development Oscillyte delivered a detailed product definition for a Mobile Money Transfer (MMT) product, following definition of the initial mobile financial services strategy, for a fixed and mobile operator. Oscillyte has also provided full project management for the implementation of the MMT product. Projects usually encompass all aspects including; proposition development, technical implementation, staff aquisition and training, regulatory approval and partnership establishment.
Strategy Development
- defined complete mobile money transfer strategy including detailed business plan and board justification for two East African operators
- delivered a competitive market response strategy for an operator facing new competition in Uganda. The project required detailed competitor analysis and a structured scenario planning exercise.
- developed a consumer data strategy for a mobile and fixed operator in Uganda.
Investor project to analyse product opportunity in newly developed technology and means of taking product to market. An outline of likely demand, future technology trends and 'go to market' strategies were delivered.
3G Mobile license project for a telecoms regulator. The particular focus of this project was the design of a selection process. The criteria stipulated that the selection had to be fair, open and transparent and economically efficient.
MVNO and National Roaming
- guidance to a mobile operator on regulation and auction strategy in relation to hosting a third party's traffic, including full auction simulation exercise.
